Puppy Head Start
Potty routine, crate comfort, gentle mouths and early socialising.
- 4 in-home sessions
- Socialisation checklist
- Puppy play group pass
Reward-based dog training for pullers, jumpers, barkers and the wonderfully stubborn. Answer five quick questions and we'll tell you which program fits your dog — then come meet you both, free.
Force-free methods, trusted by local partners
Most "bad" behaviour is a dog doing exactly what's worked for them so far. We change what works — kindly, and with you holding the leash.
Shoulders sore after every walk? Loose-leash walking is our most-booked fix.
Reactivity work at a pace your dog can handle, with distance and decoy dogs.
A recall that works at the park, not only in the kitchen with cheese in hand.
Five questions, about a minute. You'll get a recommended program, an honest time estimate and a free evaluation slot.
Every program includes the free evaluation, a written plan, and text support between sessions.
Potty routine, crate comfort, gentle mouths and early socialising.
Loose-leash walking, polite greetings, reliable recall and settle.
For dogs who bark, lunge or panic. Slow, structured, never forced.
Your dog trains with us daily, then we teach you everything at handover.
A trainer visits for 45 minutes, watches your dog in their real world and hears what's hard for you.
Within 24 hours you get a plan with goals, the right program and a clear session schedule.
Short, fun sessions plus 10-minute daily homework. You'll text us videos; we'll text back tips.
"Dogs learn fast. People learn faster when nobody's yelling. Every session ends with you able to do it on your own."
I started Pawvantage after eight years at a busy rescue, working with the dogs nobody else could walk. Our team of four trainers uses food, play and patience — no prong collars, no shock, no shame.
"Juniper used to scream at every dog on our street. Ten weeks of Calm Confidence and we walk past the corgi next door like it's nothing."
"We booked Bootcamp before our baby arrived. Otis came home settling on his mat on cue. The handover lessons were the best part."
"Honest, kind and clear. Dana told us Puppy Head Start was enough — no upsell. Biscuit is fully house-trained at 16 weeks."
Pick a day and time that suits you. We come to your home anywhere in Ashford Valley, or meet at our training yard on Linden Road.
About a third of evaluations end with "you don't need a full program" — we'll tell you.
We want to see the doorbell, the leash and the zoomies. Real life is where training starts.
You'll get a written plan and quote by email the next day.
Something else on your mind? Text us at (555) 014-8823 — a trainer replies, not a bot.
No. We use reward-based, force-free methods only. We'll help you choose a comfortable harness or flat collar at your evaluation.
Puppy Head Start welcomes pups from 8 weeks once they've had their first vaccines. There's no upper age limit — our oldest graduate was a 13-year-old beagle.
All of Ashford Valley and towns within 20 miles of our Linden Road yard. Further out, we can meet at the yard or a park halfway.
Dogs are individuals, so honest trainers don't promise outcomes. What we do promise: a clear plan, fast replies, and a free extra session if you've done the homework and aren't seeing progress.
We'll only recommend Bootcamp if your dog is comfortable being away from home. Dogs stay in our quiet home-style kennel with no more than six guests at a time.
Evaluations this week fill up by Wednesday. Grab a slot or take the quiz first.
